Can you feel the magic in the air? We can, and that’s why we’re getting ready for Keene’s upcoming Wizarding Week! And that means we have a ton of fun planned, including the return of the Sorcerers Faire!
Throughout Wizarding Week...
To kick things off, some of our staff will be holding down a booth at Railroad Square.
We will be there throughout the week to give children a spot to be entertained, and let parents decompress for a moment. Our goal is to help everyone enjoy the event, promote the Sorcerers Faire, and hand out as many Wizard Keys as possible.
What is a Wizard Key you ask?
Those little flying keys from the first Harry Potter of course! We will be handing them out along with a small information card that explains what they are for. Each key is worth $1 and can be redeemed at the Sorcerers Faire to purchase any of the great items we have for sale at the Museum.
There will also be science-based items for the kids to purchase at the booth. As well as information regarding our next raffle - New England Family Activities.
And don’t forget, during the week, the physical museum WILL BE OPEN! So, feel free to visit and enjoy our new hours: Tuesday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm.
Day Of The Sorcerers Faire
That’s right, it’s the deeply anticipated return of the Cheshire Children’s Museum Sorcerers Faire!
Held on Saturday, July 29th, we will be hosting the festivities in the courtyard, as we do with our other big events. Families who received Wizard Keys will be able to redeem them at this time, as well as join in the wizarding fun that we have in store!
There will be no shortage of exciting activities;
Magic Potion Bottles
Heck, there will also be a station to decorate your very own Wizarding Wand. And thanks to our friends at Douglas Toys, kids will be able to find out what wizard they are, complete with special animal toy.
We will also be announcing the winners of the ‘New England Family Activities’ Raffle!
The Sorcerers Faire will be held in the courtyard from 10 am to 4 pm, and the physical museum WILL BE OPEN during the festivities, for all to enjoy.
We're Looking For Volunteers
We at the Cheshire Children’s Museum would also like to say that we are still looking for volunteers. With so much going on and all the activities we have planned, help is always accepted!
If you love helping kids learn and building a stronger community, please, don’t hesitate to give the Cheshire Children’s Museum a call and we will provide you with more information.
We are very grateful for support from the Putnam Foundation, a donor-advised fund of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.
