Compensation:
$18.00 / hr to $23.00 / hr
Job Description
The Operations Manager has a broad range of responsibilities from day-to-day administrative work and office management to supporting the Executive Director in projects. The Operations Manager must work extremely well in a team but also be comfortable working individually. This job requires great flexibility and willingness to complete many different types of tasks. This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling based on the museum’s schedule.

Staff Relations
- Lead communication with staff, customers, and the public, answering questions concerning community and museum events, building usage, member accounts, etc.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with current and potential organizational partners, families, and staff.
- Train, supervise, and mentor staff and volunteers to ensure high quality and safe programs.
- Check the email daily to respond to contact forms, online orders, and emails, and phone calls from customers, partners, staff, etc.
- Provide efficient and professional customer service, being courteous, polite, and helpful at all times when representing the CCM.
- Schedule building/event room rental requests for organizations or birthdays.
- Update website, Facebook, Instagram, online event calendar listings, etc. with accuracy and consistency.
- Edit and provide content for social media and digital marketing such as eBlasts, newsletters, campaigns, and online ticketing.
- Work directly with the Executive Director to advance the Museum's educational mission by mapping out annual and educational initiatives, programs, and schedules.
- Participate in the development, facilitation, and evaluation of all aspects of the museum's educational programs.
- Collaborate with CCM staff to plan and implement regular activities and special events.
- Proficiency with CRM systems. Organize and maintain membership software and database.
- Data input, contacts for new members, donors, library contacts, mailing list contacts, volunteers, local businesses, schools, nonprofits, etc.
- Organize new memberships.
- Compose and send out email blasts to appropriate groups.
- Check social media daily to respond to comments or direct messages.
- Oversee volunteer mailings of donation requests and membership solicitation packages.
- Maintain the organizational calendar, ensuring that setup and signage are in place for the smooth operation of each day’s scheduled activities.
- Accurate cash management and POS oversight.
- Monitor and fulfill online orders.
- Manage inventory of gift shop, office, and museum supplies and ordering or purchasing as necessary.
- Enter new merchandise into inventory accurately.
- Take lead in office tasks such as data entry; filing; member, birthday, or field trip registration; prepare mailings; copying and printing; and other tasks.
- Respond to inquiries regarding programming and events.
- Provide and gather content for the monthly/quarterly newsletter.
- Assist with maintenance of the website.
- Assist with social media posts.
- Coordinate and implement logistics for fundraising activities and events.
- Organize and schedule staff calendar and meetings.
- Create membership packets.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
