We would like to announce that the Cheshire Children’s Museum will be participating in New Hampshire's Day of Giving (Nh Gives) - an opportunity to unite our community around causes in which we truly believe and help nonprofit organizations connect to the larger community
What is NH Gives?
NH Gives is a powerful, state-wide 24-hour fundraising event that is held exclusively online! Designed, to build community and connect donors with local nonprofits, NH Gives helps to generate excitement and awareness within the nonprofit sector.
This one-of-a-kind fundraiser was created by the NH Center to help Nonprofits and has been shown to be a great way to boost an organization’s fundraising efforts. It also ensures eligible nonprofits the chance to reach fresh potential donors and the type of visibility that only a state-wide effort of this type can provide.
Who is it for?
During NH Gives, nonprofits that are partaking in the event have an opportunity to showcase their work and raise funds through the use of online marketing. The event lasts 24 hours and encourages individuals, businesses, and communities to support the causes and organizations they care about by making donations through their Nh Gives page.
All funds raised during NH Gives are distributed directly to the participating nonprofits, directly supporting them to further their goals, support their programs, and make a positive impact in the communities they serve.
Why is it important to donate to the Cheshire Children's Museum?
Currently, the Cheshire Children’s Museum offers free admission to 10 local service agencies and distributes over $5,000 worth of free day passes annually. In addition, all daily programs are included with membership or admission at no further charge.
Funds raised during the NH Gives event will be used to ensure that all families within the region continue to have access to the museum, regardless of income. They will be used to expand and develop further programs and exhibits and allow us to grow and maintain an atmosphere of progress, where families can connect, build friendships, and establish a stronger community.
The financial support and advocacy towards the Cheshire Children’s Museum will enable us to provide high-quality programming in a safe and educational environment.
What can you do?
There are many ways to support us in reaching our goal of $6000 and 100 Donors, but here are just a few!
Donations – By donating towards our goals, you are investing in the future generations of the community.
Fundraising – By becoming a Peer-2-Peer fundraiser, you are able to take the reins of the event and help us increase the donations, through your name!
Advocate – By promoting our participation and getting the word out, you ensure that we can meet our goals!
Matching Donor – By choosing to match a set dollar amount, your donation can more than double the funds raised by the end of the day! Example: What we raise through Traditional Donations ($500) + your Matching Donation 1 ($500) + another Matching Donation 2 ($500) = Total Funds Raised $1,500
When to do it!
The big day takes place on June 6th-June 7th and goes for a full 24 hours, start to finish. But until then you can plan to donate, advocate for us by sharing our participation with friends, and blowing us up on social media.
Please let us know if you have any questions or would like more information about NH Gives. The Cheshire Children’s Museum thanks you in advance for your supporting us!
We are very grateful for support from the Putnam Foundation, a donor-advised fund of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.
