Monadnock Region Early Childhood              Educator of the Year Award

Nomination Information


To recognize outstanding Early Childhood Educators in the Monadnock Region who work with children from birth to five years old.  There will be one winner selected.



  1. 2019 winners - Cindy Bechard, Linda Kinson and Siobhan Raymond are not eligible
  2. Nominees must currently be employed in a New Hampshire licensed home based, licensed center based, or school based program within the Monadnock Region working with children from birth to age 5.
  3. Nominees must have at least 3 years' experience in early education.
  4. All nominees must work in a New Hampshire program located in one of the following towns in the Monadnock Region (as defined by Monadnock United Way):
    • Alstead, Antrim, Bennington, Chesterfield, Deering, Dublin, Fitzwilliam, Francestown, Gilsum, Greenfield, Greenville, Hancock, Harrisville, Hillsborough, Hinsdale, Jaffrey, Keene, Marlborough, Marlow, Mason, Nelson, New Ipswich, Peterborough, Richmond, Rindge, Roxbury, Sharon, Stoddard, Sullivan, Surry, Swanzey, Temple, Troy, Walpole, Westmoreland, Winchester, and Windsor


Selection Process:

Parents/family members/guardians, colleagues and/or administrators may make a nomination by fully completing the online form or by mailing or dropping it off at Cheshire Children's Museum, 149 Emerald Street, Keene, NH 03431.  No other materials will be accepted.


A panel of judges representing our community will select one winner.


Important Dates:

February 1, 2020 - Nomination period opens

April 18, 2020 - Nomination forms must be received by 5:00 pm online or at Cheshire Children's Museum

May 5, 2020 - Celebration at Cheshire Children's Museum, 5:30-7:00pm.  Networking from 5:30-6:00pm.  Program begins at 6:00pm.



Each winning educator will receive a field trip to Cheshire Children's Museum for their class.  Additional prizes will be announced at the celebration.
